The American Transcription Association

We’re Going Live!

by admin on January 25, 2010

I’m not so sure we live in the “information age” so much as the “communication age.” When you think about it, the best thing the Internet has done is connect us all together. A trade association like the American Transcription Association wouldn’t be possible – in the form it is today – even 15 years ago.

We have our own online forum in the Members Center, we have a Yahoo! Groups forum, and we have a monthly newsletter that gets emailed to all of our membership. We even have a Facebook page. It’s mind boggling the different ways we can connect with each other!

Well, we are now adding one more: the ATA Blog. This is the first post of what we plan to be a fairly eclectic mix of conversation, tips, news, vendor specials and updates, and community sharing. We hope to inform and engage, and be one more point of contact so that we can all feel like we are part of something bigger!

As with all things ATA, this blog is designed to be everything it can be for you, our members. So please, pipe up from time to time and leave a comment at the bottom here. If you prefer to talk to us in a less-public way, you can also contact us with any feedback you have!

Until next time…
