How to Join the American Transcription Association (ATA)
The American Transcription Association would like to officially extend an invitation to all U.S.-based transcriptionists and affiliated professionals. You’ll find a great number of member benefits, including vendor discounts, networking opportunities, our exclusive Member Forum, and more.
Registration is easy, and within minutes you can start enjoying all the benefits of being an ATA member.

Eligibility
Membership to the American Transcription Association (ATA) is open to all U.S.-based transcriptionists and transcription companies. However, in order to uphold the level of standards of our membership, all potential members must read and agree to the Terms and Conditions for Membership in the American Transcription Association.
Most particularly, you may sign up for a Transcriptionist and Transcription Company Membership if you:
- Are a U.S. transcriptionist or transcription company
- Perform all transcription work in-house OR subcontract only to U.S. employees/individuals legally working within the U.S.
- Do not subcontract any transcription work overseas
- Do not subcontract any transcription work to companies that subcontract transcription work overseas
Dues
Membership dues are:
- $99 Transcriptionists and Allied Members
- $149 Transcription Companies and Associate Members
- $249 Vendor Members
